OUR SPIRIT
Our Padstow Gin is made from GNS (grain-based neutral spirit), not bought-in, but from 100% finest local Cornish barley, grown at Tregirls farm in Padstow. The barley fields overlook the Camel Estuary above the beach at St George’s Well, swept daily with the ocean breeze and covered in salty sea mist.
OUR BOTANICALS
Mixing tradition with our beautiful location, we blend juniper, citrus and pepper with local Alexanders, an ancient coastal plant full of green, iodine freshness. It is these that David still forages in spring from the cliffs above the beach on the western side of the estuary, giving our Original and Navy Strength gins their refreshing, coastal flavour.
OUR PROCESS
Our barley is milled, fermented and distilled in several stages to produce the softest base spirit possible. It is then infused with our unique selection of botanicals in 200 litre Alembic copper-pot stills and gently distilled before dilution to the 42% sweet spot.
OUR PROVENANCE
From the fields of Padstow our spirit takes a short trip to the South Cornish coast and is distilled at Colwith Farm near Lostwithiel. 100% grown, distilled and bottled in Cornwall.
