Unlike botanical-infused gin which is also used to make martinis, the vodka spirit will shine through so you’re relying on a vodka with great taste to give you the best results here.
INGREDIENTS
50ml Padstow Vodka | SHOP HERE
10ml Knightor Dry Vermouth | SHOP HERE
1 Twist of lemon
METHOD
Half fill the martini glass with water and add three cubes of ice before you start.
Stick six cubes of ice into your shaker, then measure the vermouth on top.
Hard shake for five seconds, then strain off the vermouth.
Add the vodka, reseal the shaker and then hard shake for a further ten seconds.
Open the shaker, then empty the martini glass and dry it.
Double strain the shaker contents into the glass.
Take one canele cut of lemon from the fruit top to bottom and tie a knot in it, then drop it into the Martini.
